Farm Activities
If you are a guest at Florence Guest Farm, you can
participate in all the farm activities that are happening at the
time.
Sheep
Lambing season is from March to April.
Sheering season is in August.
Cattle
There are different activities during the year.
Milking
Every morning about 7h30 Judas Dube milks our cows in
a traditional way, by hand. The milk is used in the guesthouse.
You’ve got to be an early bird to see the milking.
Planting
season
In November we plant maize and soybeans for the sheep
and cattle
Livestock
auctions
Auctions are
held every Thursday in Ermelo and it is really something to
experience.
