Season

Rainfall and the level of the pans and lakes play a very important roll in canoeing in the Lake District.
The pans at Florence Guest Farm are very shallow and if we have had a bad rain season they tend to dry up in winter months.

The big lake, Lake Chrissie, is much deeper and the water level is much more stable. The lake is 1 500 ha in size and 5m deep at the deepest point.
